Setting up my Dream 55 (Many pics)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
as a suggestion, I like to paint the back drop. when water spashes and gets behind that it looks messy and is hard to clean, just a point of addvise while your still in the early stages of setting up, kyrlon makes a spray paint called fusion that bonds to glass and plastic and drys pretty quick, that would save you the headache of wiping behind your back drop in the future

Looks like it is coming along well. I would also add a backup heater. Cascade is the brand I run. Good job.

Looks great and ditto to the painting the tank suggestion.

If you stay with the plastic background just be sure to run tape all the way across the top where it meets the tank trim so stop water from getting behind it.

Keep the pics coming!

For a 55 I would consider having a backup heater on hand but not in the tank. It will look too cluttered with two. If your heater does happen to go south you will have plenty of time to get the backup running.

That just my personal opinion though.

Looks good! I would also go with the suggestions of painting the back of the tank. It would be easy to do it now... but very difficult once you fill it.

But hey... it's your tank... go with what you like...:)
