Thanks to the show off your dart frog viviarium thread, i decided thats what i want to do with a spare 20 long. I am setting it up vertically, and will have a small amount of water on the bottom, but not coverin the whole footprint, maybe 60-75% of it. Im making a styrafoam backround and havin a little waterfall down one side of it. My first question is does anyone know of a small pump thats little to not take up too much water space, but powerful enough to bring water up 30+"?

Another question i have is what to do about the front. I will silicone a paice of glass for the bottom 6-12", and i will have the top 4-6" screened off for ventilation, but i need a way to attach a peice of glass in the middle part, but also need to be able to have it be like a door for my access. Two of my thoughts were either attaching it with velcro strips on the sides or some kind of hinges. Any sugestions?

your not going solo! I saw this thread. Im gonna help you alot. Great Stuff foam. BAM! Then either silicone and press in cocofiber or Kitty litter. I forget the prep method for that though. I know Snakeguy uses that method.

Hinges with some strong silicone would be best for the door.

I thought about the spray foam idea, but thought that itd be way harder to make it into the shape i wanted than the carving the pink foam method. Will it?

I'm not home right now to get pics but there's a 6" or so piece of glass siliconed to the frame at the bottom then its just a plastic 'hinge' similar to what holds fish tank lids together siliconed on the top of the 6' piece and then the door piece is just siliconed in the top of the hinge..the door opens down ..if that all makes any sense..
