well mostly turquise, pigion bloods, red dragons, wild, blue diamond, lepard, pink snakeskin, orange blue samari, and a bunch of mixed ones. Look at my photo gallary and you'll see all of them. the pictures that I put up on this thread are mostly what they look like too.
I love rays, I personally think that they should be bigger features in the hobbiest aqauriums. I was hoping to build my own all glass tank i got the tank down to 400+ but ran into a cash flow problem and that has put things on hold right now. I am still hoping to build it sometime soon. I have come up with an awsome design. I am going to have a sump I was thinking of building that as well in and around 70 - 80 gallons with a hospital tank built on the side of it.
i like your planted 55g i cant wait to see your planted 125g i am in the process of making my 60g into a planted tank but with angels rather than discus. keep us updated.
While a 125 has the potential to make an amazing planted tank, in your case I would not invest too heavily in plants for your 125. The ray will need as much surface area as possible, your lighting (at best if each bulb is 30 watts puts you at just under one watt per gallon (most plants require at least two watts, and the depth of your tank will diffuse a lot of the light before it reaches the substrate). Also, a wet/dry or sump is counter productive to growing plants, as it serves to add oxygen to the water, and in planted tanks you want to minimize surface agitation to increase co2 production for the plants to take in and respire oxygen. This is not to say that there aren't any succesful planted tanks out there that have wet/dry systems. -Andrew
