Hello,

I haven't been on in months because I though I was going to sell my tank and be out of the fish world for a while. Luckily my money troubles are now under control and I wasn't able to sell my tank so I now what to turn it into a Discus tank. My idea is to put 6 Discus with some kind of school of small fish (maybe Danios or Rams) and get some Water Sprite as top cover. This is a 90 Gallon Tank and I have an Aquaclear 300/70 a Rena xP3 and a Eheim Professional II with a 15 Watt UV filter on the return line. I've also attached a picture of the tank just for the hell of it ;).

Is the tank curved or is it a picture distortion?

how many discus are you planing to put in there not to be rude

I stated in my OP that I am planning to put 6 in their. This will be their permanent home so I do not want to overstock.

go for it. the xp3 and ehiem will be more than enough so no need for the aquaclear. discus demand very clean water so with enough wc's I also see no need for a uv.

That's a good looking tank!!!!!

Thanks, picture was taken after I first added water so the sand got everywhere. Now that it has had time to age and some algae has formed on the back rock wall it looks really good.

Also another question. This is a sand substrate with UGJ's built in. Do you think I will have an issue with raising 2"-2.5" Discuss in here with the Danios and Water Sprite (as top cover not planted)?
