Setting up tank specifically for FH (need answers)

I wish my store had those... see my store has both of the fixtures I mentioned before. We have carried the double fixtures in the past. Thats why I was trying to figure out which of the two to buy.

Do you think 108 watts T5 fixture would be too much for my potential Flowerhorn to enjoy?

I would with the one with dual bulbs for more flexibility, you can always remove a bulb if its spooking the fish as well you can play with combos. If you buy the single you will be kickin yourself heh. I got mine from big als for $45 with bulbs so dont know what discount you get but hard to beat that.

This can be an expensive hobby especially when you make mistakes. These are awesome fish and are water pets not just another fish but they are also a labor of love. The more effort and time you put into the fish the better the fish will turn out but also keep in mind you cant polish a turd. And with flowerhorns you get what you pay for, so dont expect miracles from a $9.99 fish When you get ready hit up Julie (flowerhorns from beyond)a if you looking for something special and can prob get it for you.

yeah I agree... i know that I'll be paying a pretty penny... I'm hoping for a beautiful FH with a massive kok.

I cannot wait.. I hope my soon to be wife doesnt mind... but its all about comprimise I'm gonna take down a small reef to make room for my new wet pet.
