Setup for Small Central Americans

I would go for P. latipinna. They are more hardy than velifera and kykesis. Especially P. kykesis is not easy to keep and breed. First I thought I am doing something wrong with them but found out later that nearly every body who got them a few years ago had huge problems with them. And even if they breed and you manage to get a decent amount of fry the offspring often stays a lot smaller than their parent generation.
To put them in a cichlid tank would be a total waste.

I already have the Latippina so I’m set. Just wish I could’ve had the option on the Velifera.

Thank you. If only I had seen this before getting the Latippina. I’ll have to look around more diligently the next time. :)
