How can i calm this guy down,
Im trying to introduce another golden severum to my tank.
Its a 300Lrio.
Now my orginal one is just chasing this poor fish around everywhere so i have now put the new fish in my other tank.

Is there anyway of trying to ease them to like each other?
Any tips?

Dont really want to get rid of him but feel i might have to as he is too big for the second tank.

Cheers Mike

dither fish to displace the agression might help....giant danois or tin foils perhaps?

get a third severum. mine do best in larger groups.

are they both males?

maybe one is feeling the love? if it is a male being aggressive (how odd--lol) to a female it may be attempting to select a mate. Be careful--that can ugly--missing finnage. Missing lips....

what other fish are in there? how is the tank decorated?

Do a big water change pulling all the decorations and reorganizing the entire tank. Stir up the gravel after a gravel vac. The whole nine. Then when you're done, leave the lights off for a day or two.

Adding a third Sev or dithers at the same time could be really good too if you have room for it (them).

You just might have to deal with it or get rid of one. Sevs are more aggressive than people give them credit for. Mine is especially aggressive to any other cichlid in the tank that invades his space or gets too close.

they will be fine, my big male used to chase my old severum around all the time and the eventually they sorted it out and the old one stayed outta the way of the male, then i got bored of them and sold one lol.

I wouldn't worry much about it. Every severum I ever had was a wuss, and not likely to do much damage.
