Severum Colors fading/Skin issue?

I agree with the others
Although a lower pH will be good for the severums, and help keep them healthier.

It will not be great for the JD or FM. that thrive in 8+pH water in nature.

This is one of the reasons keeping Central America and South American cichlids in separate tanks, is recommended by experienced aquarists .
I realize this severum is basically a line bred version, so may not require as low pH as those found in nature, but a pH in the 8+s is quite out of line compared to the pH 6 (hardy above 7) that severums have evolved to live in, in South America.
Keeping the severums in a separate tank, where you can mix your high pH tap water with , DI, RO, or rain water would be advisable,
especieally if you are only going to do 20-30% water changes per week.

alright i’ll move the severums, what are a few central cichlids y’all recommend that would do well with the jd and fm
