mine dont like veggies. other than that they will eat almost anything, flakes, sinking or floating pellets, frozen krill, f/d shrimp or krill, algae wafers. i feed mine once a day some times ever other day
I feed my severums cichlid gold and cichlid staple and feed them once a day, at times i feed them twice depending on the quantity i gave them before.
I fed my gold everything you give other other cichlids/fish. he particularly liked algae wafers at night but ate pellets and bloodworm like it was he hadnt been fed for a month.

x2 on the Hikari Gold. I feed it to them twice a day. I'm not sure why, but they really hate food that won't sink, and aren't too interested in veggies either. They definitely love bloodworms like its their job and have a good time with brine shrimp too. For pretty young specimens, it can be beneficial to feed them 3x a day as long as adequate filtration is in place.
I give mine New Life Spectrum Community formula, Dainichi Veggie FX, Ultima, and Veggie Delight, Ocean Nutrition Cichlid Veggie Flakes, some freeze-dried krill or frozen mysis occasionally, and sometimes they're in the mood for some peas. I feed once a day, when I get home from work, whenever that is, and I try to mix things up, offering a different food than the day before.

I have Rotkiels, I feed Hikari Discus Bio-Gold, Hikari Ciclid Bio-Gold, Blood worms, Meal worms, Brine shrimp, Mysis Shrimp, Omega One Super Veggi pellets & Peas once a week. I mix it up during the week and feed once a day all they want. I feed the Veggi pellets every day, I found it stops mine from destroying the plants.
