Just wondering what you guys feed your severums...I'm looking for ideas for a good varied diet but also one that results in a great growth rate.

Feed a variety, of quality pellets, such as NLS or Omega ONE. I would also include a veggie pellet, or flakes for the young. The key to fast growth, however, is large frequent water changes and 80+ temperature.

as juveniles i fed mine hakari pellets, bloodworms, omega one shrimp pellets and flakes, and even zucchini and cucumbers

My severum eats Hakari Ciclid BioGold pellets, frozen peas with the shells removed, cucumber, freeze dried krill, bloodworms, algae pellets, crickets, zuchini, baby field greens, strawberry on occasion and kiwi. He'll eat pretty much anything I put in the tank. I got him as a 1 inch juvi in October and he's at about 4.5 or 5 inches now.

As long as you base the diet with a good staple pellet, it should be good as long as there are lots of water changes

i feed my male female pair cos lettuce on a clip and occasionally garden earthworms also they have a staple of cichlid pellets they love it
