Hi. I have a temporary tank set up for 3 male severums. 2 turquoise and 1 green. Originally the green was my first Severum and I got him as a tiny baby. He is now just reaching sexual maturity at 4-4.5in. So his aggression is a little higher than usual, which isn't much. He's a teddy bear. lol The next Severum to be added was the baby turquoise. Got him at 1in and he is now pushing 2.5in and is a total sweety. They get along great. The baby turquoise gets VERY aggressive toward any new fish so I couldn't put anything else in there. But one day my fiance surprised me with a 5-5.5in turquoise Severum that he said was traded in at work (PetLand) as a female. It is SO NOT a female! It is a male. It was in an African tank so it didn't look so good. Now that he is in the right type of tank and with his own kind.....he is a monster!!! He doesn't pick on the baby baby so much but he and the green were lip locking big time! They have calmed down.....a little.
The big one rules the tank and won't let the others eat. I have to keep one side of the tank darker with hideouts for the green to eat in peace. Everyone is healthy with no ouchies or split fins. I just don't know what to do. We are getting their 45gal tank in the next week or so. But until then I'm not sure what to do. I don't have anymore tanks available at the moment seeing as we have babies out the butt (I'm a breeder). Any suggestions? Oh and if anyone has a female turquoise or green let me know.
