This might be an odd question, but are these puss-filled, like pimples? Or are they actual growths?
I ask because a lot of cichlids get little pimple-looking things like this, discus are especially bad about it. They're sort of like a localized bacterial infection, kind of like when we get clogged pores. Most of the time with good water quality and frequent water changes they go away on their own.
Any time I've seen lymph physically appear on a fish, it tends to be all over the fins and body. I've never seen it stay localized to a single area like that. I'm not saying that it isn't, just that there are maybe other possibilities besides Lymph.
