I`ve recently started making my food for the severums from a mix of pure spirulina, hikari excel, hikari bio gold, astra mix and chopped prawns for flavour.
I crumble the hikari foods and then mix everything together and freeze it.
The reason for doing this is because the sevs won`t eat the hikari when i throw it in. So the last six monthes they`ve been eating what the bichers eat mainly, appart from the little hikari they every now and then.
The bichers get prawns, smelt, cockles, muscles and hikari massivore.
Anyway one of the big red spotted sevs are crapping what looks like grass. There is valis in the tank and they do chomp on it now and again witch is to be expected. It`s only this one sev and all the others are lke normal.
so any ideas?
And before you all ask my parameters are

amonia 0ppm
nitrite 0ppm
nitrate <10ppm
phosphates 1ppm
ph 7.5

temp 25c but it`s hot at the mo so the ambient temp has pushed the tank upto 27c

Thanks for the help guys
Ps i`ve tried to attach pic so i hope they work, and sorry for the quality but i`ve got an olympus digital 600 and can`t seem to get a good pic for the love of trying...

my uaru had a plant coming from its backside the other day. passed with no problems. it seems that vallis was the one causing it in my tank too. i added it and the long plant like poo came. now the vallis is gone there is no sign of said poo. just the regular stuff.

And one`ish full tank shot because i haven`t upped pics before.
So this is my bicher and sev tank.

Cool thanks guys. I thought it would be something like that but better to be sure than to be sorry and all that...

very cool set up mate. like the planting. i wish i could get plants to sit like that but my uaru like rearranging the furniture everyday or so.

Thank you for the kind words.. And it`s lots of work and money, when i need to replace plants all the time due to the little buggers passing up food for leaves... :)

Just wanted to say that is one gorgeous tank you have!

Thanks mate. It always makes you feel better when someone says things like that..:)
