got myself a 'pair' (i think) of severum sp. atabapo :D
they look really nice and are a lot prettier IMHO compared to the run of the mill severums you see nowadays.
check out their eyes! and you thought beani eyes were read ;) (gani, are you reading this? :grinno::grinno::ROFL:)

their new tank mate - emperor cichlid (!?) :naughty: i was at ocean blue and decided to get one for some irrational reason... it will be interesting to try and grow him out. he was the largest one in the tank at around 2" TL

Nice pickups!
Severum sp 'atabapo'? Is that what they called them? I used to have a large one and it was quite aggressive for a severum. For a long time, I thought they were mouth brooders.

That emperor cichlid is going to get big fast. Trust me on this, I had to get rid of mine because it outgrew its tank (60g) in a matter of weeks.

I told him that but he would not listen :D. I think he plans to buy the big tank Brian is selling.
