haha.. it probably means i haven't had more interesting cichlids before than this pair of heros??

thanks for the warm welcome.. they have been housed in a 24" tank for the past week, but obviously that's too small for them.. been feeding them live shrimps and frozen blood worms...

so i'm actually clearing up a bigger space for them today! will update once they've settled in their new home..

They both like attention so I sure they don't mind ;). Very nice pair you have. How much did you pay for the pair?

i fed mine frozen blood worms too, since they seemed to be bored from pellets... :nilly:
the male is starting to get quite aggressive towards the female as i type - he's chasing her somewhat all over the tank now. maybe he got triggered from this sudden supply of yummy food...

bought them over from a hobbyist at $95 for the pair, not that cheap, but they were originally sold as a 'wild' pair in the lfs, so..... :redface:

i think he's ready to go, but she still needs time
i just got these two days ago, so i'll be darn lucky if they actually spawned by now haha

hehe looks like we paid about the same... ;)
