I have two severums in a 125g with other cichlids. Male is about 4-5" And female about 4".
Yesterday I noticed that there were eggs they were guarding in the corner of the glass.
Today the eggs hatched and the wigglers are in a hole they dug in the corner of the tank.
I've read that Severums sometimes take a long time to become "good parents", aka not eating their fry. So far they are doing a good job, protecting the fry from the other tankmates.
I'm not gonna seperate the fry from the pair, I'm just gonna wait and see if they can do it on their own. If they can't now, they'll someday get the hang of it.
Any advices are gladly accepted!
Pics soon!
