I would say some red head tapajos, mine are very personal, they are always up at the top of the tank when i come in my room. Or a rainbow, flier cichild, blue acara, and many other acaras.

i wouldn't mind having an acara, or a rainbow, and the flier looks interesting... I've been wondering if an oscar would work? idk why but i love oscars and i miss the one i had. Other than that, i wanted to know if another severum would work too, I'm just checking my options first before i do anything. Thanks for all the suggestions 
another severum could work but def not an oscar in a 55g, to have O with sev you would need like a 90g at least, Os get longer than 12in which is why that size tank isn't even good for one O by itself, they are great fish however so if you can get a bigger tank then you could def do that
