I visited an lfs in Omaha that has several different severums. They labeled one as a "Rainbow Severum." I hate trade names. Does anyone else know which sp. would be labeled a rainbow? All were to small to sex/id.

Rotkeils have more than one nickname, there's at least one Florida importer/wholesaler calling them "rainbow severums."
Which is all we need with the confusion of nicknames, muddy up the rotkeil waters even further, as it is too many people are hybridizing them with common "green severums." ☹

If they were Notatus I would buy them all. LFS said they were listed as Heros sp.
My vote is rotkeill, but I don’t know sevs as well as others.
Reminds me of a juvie I got in the mail (doa unfortunately). Similar pattern to green but with a bit of red showing on the gill area.
