How long could i keep 3 juvie sevs in a 29 gallon? I would be gettin them at about 1.5-2 inches, they would go in my 125 when i get rid of my fh.

not an expert, but 6-8 months is safe, depends on feeding. Alot of food =s faster growth. Just got some my self, and starting to love them..

do they grow pretty fast? my fh blew up quick!

They can, there not on the top of the growth chart,
FHs can be on the quick list for growth, not an equal comparison.
I have a Fh also, i think we have the same line up of fish

Depends how you take good care of them. It took my pair of gold sevs to grow from 1.5 to 6 inches in just 7 months but I spoiled them too much.:grinyes: Get rid of your FH before you put your sevs in there but there's still time as you need to quarantine for four weeks first or learn the hard way when ich comes to infect your older stocks.;)

i gonna keep the sevs in the 29gallon for at least 4-6 months is there any good places online to buy sevs i want 3 different kinds, like 1 gold ,1 green. 1 ? red i dont know whats out there

I guess they will be "safe" - you can also keep a prisoner in a 4x8 cell for decades and they are "safe".

You can grow sevs from 2" to 5" in three months in a larger tank (I did), and in 8 month they can almost reach adulthood. A minimal of 55g is recommend for a single adult sev.

Only as long as you need to quarantine them, e.g. 3-4 weeks as others suggested.

I dont think that stuffing your fish with food and making them grow a thowsend inches in a few months is taking good care of a fish. But thats is just me...
