I dont think that stuffing your fish with food and making them grow a thowsend inches in a few months is taking good care of a fish. But thats is just me...

That's how you think others raise their fish?

Check out this thread, post #10 http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117075 and tell us Sean's sevs are not the best looking ones....

barge51 - why would you want to keep them there for 6 months anyway? That hard to get rid of your FH? :) Another thing to consider is that once you stunt them when they are young, there might be long term effects.....

You asked for and received good advice.

It seems you're trying to make excuses and go against this solid advice. If that's the case, why even ask? Just do what you're going to do. Your statement of them growing a thousand inches in a few months sounds childish and immature to be honest.

A cichlid growing an inch per month is NOT stuffing them. That's normal growth for many cichlids. Re-read what he said....see below.

You can grow sevs from 2" to 5" in three months in a larger tank

I'm sorry the advice you got isn't what you wanted to hear. Personally , I'd say 1-2 months max.

Oh my bad, I'm an idiot sometimes. I thought that was the OP hahahaha. :screwy: Sorry.

I still say 1-2 months max though.
