also in my experience with severums, when i turned the heat just above 80 degrees they seem to be more likely to spawn then at cooler temps.

i had my temps a little higher and the male had been shaking at the female sev. i bumped the temp to about 80-81 and now i have some eggs yesterday afternoon, so i guess thats a good start for the temp

It might, depends on how bright it is. A moon light is supposed to be bright enough so you can see the fish, but not so bright the fish think it is day. If you use a small atinic light, it may work. It may not. Try it and let us know.

the bulb is only 18 incjes on a 72" tank so i think its okay all my nocturnal fish comeout and dont seem to care like my BGK
