Sevs in a 55?

Would a pair of severums be OK in a 55 gallon tank with possibly a group of danios or would they require something bigger?

Should be. Are you keeping them in there for life?

My understanding is that captive bred will top out at around 8 inches, so you shouldn't have a problem

if they are ordinary sized danios and not giant danios then the odd one or two that get careless may go missing but sevs in general arent predatory. they will, like most fish, not give up an easy snack though.

OK, thanks for the responses. Do you think there is also room for a smaller species of pleco, like the bristlenose or something similar,to go along with the sevs and danios?

Rather than a pleco, could possibly a third severum fit in a tank that size or no?

I would not reccomend the third. Ecspecially if 2 decide to pair up.
