Tube looks exactly like the one on my male midas. I am going to say male too.

Male. It's pointed like a male. That forward curve at the tip, is very typical of the male organ, especially when it protrudes alittle more. The female organ is usually pretty straight; is more straight up and down....not to mention that it has the potential to get very large, thick and blunt.

If you want to be absolutely certain, observe the tube over time. A female's tube is generally in a state of change......often it does not protrude at all, but changes over time, to the extent that it can get very large, thick and blunt at the time of laying eggs. Many male SA/CA will have a visible pointed tube that does not change much over the course of weeks or months, even years. Other then shortly before the spawning act it gets a little larger, it often won't change much, day in and day out.

Ok the males have it when he get bigger i will give him the widow test .I have a female that has killed two mates but they were smaller than her.I like this fish thank for all of your information. I really was thinking female because how their tube turns forward when she laids eggs .I am glad to be wrong ,I lost my best stud FH and hope maybe this one can turn out.
