is it the only fish in the tank? icv noticed every midas iv ever owned develops the hump wen its with anotehr fish and its dominant

My lfs are selling off Midas 3/4" for £3 might have to get involved people there's not many with decent pattern/colours left though so ill have to see what's on offer first

they dont normally stay the same color as when u buy them, this guy was all silver grey with stripes wne i got him

I'd guess male, but as others have mentioned, females can/do grow nuchal humps too. Have you looked at its vent?
