the two in the first fry pic look like a pair :ROFL: j/k

Beautiful pair and it must be a lot of fun watching the fry grow. What are you feeding the fry?

Yea, thats about the answer I gave him:naughty:

It is fun, but I find myself spending less time in front of the tank now because its just them and fry. I had to take everyone they didnt kill in one night out because they were 100x more violent once the fry were born than the Dovii or RTM pairs I had in the same situation. I wasnt expecting it.

No more growouts staking out territory, vying for food or the enjoyment of watching multiple species interact. I guess I could put a divider up, but its not what I was wanting to do in a 265.

I use Omega One flakes mixed with about a tablespoon of tank water to make a paste. Then just make little squares and drop it in. By the time it gets about halfway down into the tank, it disintegrates into millions of flake pieces small enough for the fry to eat. Looks like its snowing in the tank. I had to do this because I have overflows and whenever I put in non-sinking food, more than half of it gets sucked into the them.

hey scott the fry are all still alive and well! some are even playing in the bubble curtain i have in there lol and theyr loving grazing on the algae on the plants :) i wish my camera would take as nice pics of them that your camera does lol when i zoom in that close it gets all blurry :(

Sweet Sarah! I was just sitting here wondering if they made it and thats great the plants have algae all over them.

Dont feel bad about the pictures. My camera (my phone) doesnt take good pics either.

The one all my fish pics are from is my work camera that Im fortunate enough to be able to bring home and use.

yeah seems like they are going to do well and im closely monitoring the ammonia but so far nothing has spiked since i put your tank water in there but im def checking and if anything spikes will do water change immediately and the minnows dont bother them at all was actually funny because last night one of the fry took over their hidy spot under the bubble curtain, the minnows were all huddled in one corner and the lone fry was in their spot like he was the boss lol

haha yeah i got a little chuckle out of it :)

Very good tip on feeding. Will have to try it out next time :)

Just so you know, I'll free up a tank in a heartbeat for a pair like these :)
