Its a poor picture on the JD cant really see the gills too well. There more blue on the gills than yoiu see on males. Plus hardly any pearling on the body.
The JD looks female to me. Not enought spangling and the body shape looks more female, but as Pyramid said the picture quality isn't too great.
Yea sorry, I just took the pics with my phone. Will try to get better pictures. I'm curious as too male or female for the jd because it grows so slow compared to the ohter fish and other jds I've seen at lfs, the bodies are really scaley compared to the stripped pattern on my jd.
