Can someone say how they know its a male? I don't know how to sex Jags I am trying to learn. I thought only females have the black spots going down the side. When giving advice on sexing other fish I always tell how I know they are M or F.
Males generally have more spots and the best way I'd say to be able to tell a female apart from a male is the more rounded belly when viewing the fish from the side... besides venting I'd say looking at the belly is the most accurate way to sex Jags once they hit the 4-5" mark
