WOW Thats a lot of yellow mmm no spangling but no dark coloration on dorsal or stripes hopefully it will color up soon I would guess female just cause male was said lol.

haha, theres always gotta be opposition. The color changed once we were tryin to get him out of the tank in the store. The bars could be seen before that, and the color was definitely different.

Im still trying to decide on which sand I want to put back in the tank.

Could go either way.................juvi males are usually pale, juvi females usually color up yellow first and get a double eye on the tail and their lower fins are much darker which i'm not seenin' yet also females don't keep the black spot on the top of their shanks..........................if I had to guess at this point Female.

yeah, too soon to tell. mine were 3-3.5" at least before I could sex them. Had one that, as a juvie, had all appearances of being male but then turned out to be female. once they're 4"+ though it should be really easy.
