better quality foods might help. Water quality may be the problem, or it may even be the LFS that you are getting them from.

female, I had one that looked just like this and everyone swore up and down that it was a male. I bought a 4" male GT and put it in the tank with it and her tube dropped and she wanted to breed with him.

The white stringy poop is common in GT.I can't think of what causes it right now,but am sure some one else will.You need to treat them for that,and probably keep them out of your main tank too.Your lucky they have not infected what I am pretty sure is a nice looking male.

My green terror has never had white stringy poop, always red or orange. That is a male with pointed anal fins and decorations on his dorsal fin. Looks like a gold saum also.

Yes its a Gold Saum but i want to get this things sex right so i can continue to find it a mate.
