My male didn't develop a nuchal hump until he started courting a female convict. After a few spawns, I removed the female, and his nuchal hump shrunk. He's now about 8 inches and has a hump, but nothing like RDs or FHs.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the other one. I remember the carpinte and escondido, but I always forget about the other. Are these just geographical differences in the same fish (like some tropheus or something) or are they considered 3 different fish?

H. Cyanoguttatus and H. Carpinits are two different species. H. Carpinits sp Escondido is a regional variant of the Carpintis.
