I will say...

Female ;) But I only have about twenty that size right now and have picked out males and females.... THOUGH!!! I am not always right.. But how much are we tlakin on that bet?:D

O.K the method of my madness.....

The circle pattern around the eye of the fish is a trait seen mostly in male specimens. You can see the start of heavy speckling in the body, dorsal and tail.

In my past breeding and raising of these fish females at the 2" mark don't show any blue except in the cheek and it doesn't consentrate around the eye. The body of a 2" female will show mostly all black with a few vertical strips, no speckling.

So that's why I say male. Do you have to agree....no it's just what I see.

Toungue I already owe you to much to let you in on this bet!! :lol:

:) You know my first thoguth was... Well I will pm you on that :D As it had nothing to do with Sexing.
 
im gonna go with tug on this. females even at that size have a more solid blue patch at the bottom of the gill plates. the spots are to far apart IMHO.

You know I have a JD I haven't vented yet... that has OUTSTANDING MARKINGS!! I bought it for a couple bucks and when I picked it up I was thinking this one was going to be outragious... Is trunign out nice at 3" and THICK
