Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
Ok I put 2 female in with my bonsai and it seems to want to breed with the large female who has laid eggs before. Not sure if its male but I really hope it is. The bonsai chases away all the fish (except Marley my oscar) and the female chases away the other female and the bonsai. At times it seems it is digging when it is around the female parrot as seen the video. Does it look like a male and trying to breed?

Cool vid, I wish I could help. I am pretty much an idiot when it comes this stuff. But, the blotchy parrot looks like he/she is getting pretty territorial, so is the Bonsai. Somethin' is happenin' though.

somethin is a brewin' ! Keep us up on whats goin on

Is it normal for the female to chase away the male though?

No it's probably more normal for the male to beat the crap out of the female. In my few attempts to pair FH thats what always happens. Not sure what I'm doing wrong...I've tried divider's, dither fish etc and still lot's of biting, lol.

Ok so here is a better summery of what has been happening.

The female parrot has been:
*chasing away all the fish in the tank (except my larger oscar) from her log is they get near
*chases away the male bonsai when he is in her log but not as much as the other fish

The male bonsai has been:
*chasing away any fish other than the female parrot that get near the log (except the large oscar)
*been picking up gravel occasionally around the log
*shakes his body/head when he is near the female as if he is cold and shivering (googled this and they are saying this is courting *****anyone confirm this true******)
*tail slaps the female occasionally

So I think he is trying to court her and she hasn't accepted him yet.

CAN ANYONE PROVIDE SOME INFO
