I'm fairly certain your seeing what you'd hoped, it does appear to be a male and he is def in the beginning stages of courtship. And yes the little shimmy he is doing is one of the things I am referring to. I'd say all of your conclusions are right on. He is courting her and she hasn't quite accepted him yet but looks as if she very well might.

True, I will probably add a few flowerpots to the tank when I set it up because the female has always laid eggs in a cave. Right now there is at least 5 hiding spots in the 75 gallon.
Wanna hear somthin effed up? Gave my new male and the killin their own tank...you saw that thread. Well they began to hide and many times at opposite ends of the tank. Threw several other fish back in yesterday...fader/parrot cross, sb green texas, green terror's...and hey what do you know? She's went back into breeding mode in earnest (omg her color is just frickin amazing) and spends ALL her time with him in the cave...where he is busily cleaning the bottom 24/7 it seem's. No agression is ever observed being directed at each other, they even let the other fish approach the cave sometime's. Go figure.
Nice, still wish I could get one of those kilins. I think I will also put the other female in the thank along with my male parrot that has never shown any interest in breeding what so ever. to add a little competition.
