Sexing Arowanas

the boys have a bigger jaw to hold them babies, i think you can sex them when their like 5 yrs old or something, not sure.

not really, still its not a definate method to sex them by looking at their jaws.

only way is if one of them starts laying egg, then its a female..

Was wondering if anyone has any idea how to sex silver and black arowanas. I have three silvers and two black, plus a jardini. I havnt been able to find any info at all.

My bro-in-law friend's Silver start to lay eggs from age 2 years old. This happened to two of his Silvers. So far there is no male Silver in the tank, thus all eggs are wasted.

Yeah I was thinkinga bout building a huge pond and giving it a shot. I would have to build a greenhouse around it, but I think I have it all worked out. Can heat it with a combination of firewood and natural gas. Anyway Id love to bread them up here in ak, would be worth the effort.
