When do crawfish reach sexual maturity? Any way to tell if they are ready to breed?

Depends on species. Redclaw can be 7 to 12 months or Giant Tasmanian Cray can be 7 to 8 years. Working out when they are sexually mature will also depend on the species and no easy explanation for you sorry.

I have better shots of the cherax species, which is the ones I think you are looking for. But basically, from the tail, a little round "hole" at the base of the third pair of walking legs is a female and if they are on the first set then it is male. Post a pick of the underside of your cray and I will sex it for you.
