I agree. Also, I would get them in a larger tank very soon. Some people may disagree with me but I found that having Festae in larger aquariums with hiding spots led to healthier and faster growing fish. I know at 3" that it seems that a 20gal is big enough but even as juveniles these cichlids need their space. I see that you have a GT of the same size with the Festae. This makes the space even smaller IMO. If they happen to turn on each other, there's no place for them to separate. A larger volume of water will really help them in various ways. I do weekly water changes and personally I rather clean my large tanks once a week than change a small tank 2-3 times a week. Did you originally have 4 in the 20gal?fishguts;4904432;4904432 said:usually to small to tell at that size. you need to wait until there around 5-6 inches to say for sure.
It sounds like your 150 is full of much bigger fish. I wouldn't put the Festae in there at their current size. But you will have to move them out eventually. It's too bad that you don't have a larger spare tank for them. Where are you planning on putting them and the GT once they growout? I would say that your 150 is topped-out already.xinchavoc;4904701;4904701 said:Yea 2 of them got ick and died but the other 2 are growing fast i do 30% water changes twice a week.......
