Does anyone know how to sex green sunfish and bluegill. I read that they can breed and I would like to create a green/bluegill hybrid.

a true bluegill will not have any color on its gill flap, also it will not have a lighter coloration on its fin tips. it does have black spots on the anal fin and the back of the dorsal (above the base of the tail)
green sunfish have a larger mouth, and a more elongated body, they also have blueish rays on the head.(they also have black spots)
when you combine them you get a mix of the two, sometimes they will have a larger mouth, sometimes smaller. the fins will usually have colored edges though.
there are other sunfish that look like gill/green hybrids, usually they can be ided by other indicators that bluegills and greens do not have.
