ah awesome guys, so really it's like the same way u tell with an oscar... so my jag is... ? i'm thinking male..
The reason i ask is cause i wanna get a female for him, and give it a go breeding them..however is this wise with my jardini ? or will they be fine?

No...it isn't the same but you can do the same thing to sex a Jag. The main way to tell the sex of an Oscar is by venting. You should be able to do that with a jag, but I can't guarantee that you won't get bit.
