yeah my girl still has the juvenile look to her. while my male is getting bigger and fatter by the day. i cant wait until i get them to breed.
i am not 100% sure. i have read and heard different things. all i know is that on both my jd's i can see their breeding tubes extended. so i will just wait to see what happens. i think when they are around 3-4in they become sexual mature. if anyone knows for sure please let me know
or what looks like it is the breeding tube. this is the first time i have attempted breeding. so i am a noob when it comes to this stuff.
The reason I asked about sexing is because I'm looking for a female for my EBJD. Definitely a noob myself.
ari there is a thread about breeding EBJD's. i believe you have to get a regular JD female and a male EBJD because most EB are males. and if you breed straight EB's i guess it weakens them and they often die young. i am not 100% sure. just search for EBJD threads and you will find info on breeding them

The problem is it's near impossible to find a female Blue Gene Jack Dempsey so you have to breed to a regular and then breed back for blues. I really wish I could find a Blue Gene Female...
oh in know that would be awesome. i almost picked up an EBJD at the lfs. 30 bucks but it was only about 1" and i have no room right now. i really wanted it though. good luck breeding the electric blue and post pics if you are successful
