Sexing my Jags

Both look female to me too.. if you look closely at them they have almost the same pattern... did you buy them in the same place..? just curious because they look so much alike... but time will tell alot more... somethings those patterns just become pronounced as they mature.. or sometimes the pattern changes and becomes more significant which to me always means male..
 
First one is a female, the smaller one is most likely a male....

Yeah I bought them about a month apart, same store tho....
 
Ok so I got rid of the smaller jag and my larger jags pattern has changed a little.... just wanna check and see if you guys still think it's a girl.

the jag you just posted, looks male to me.
the smaller jag also looked male.

wait another week or two and ask again.

but i'm gonna stand with my opinion.

Thanks, funny how a couple months can turn a female into a male lol...
 
I'm FAR from an expert, but I still think the JAG you KEPT although now darker is a female.

I think the smaller one had more finnage, esp the tips of the lower front fins.

I'm betting on the keeper being a female, even though it was the larger of the 2 fishes.
