Sexing my Pyxie Frog

I think males are bigger than females and obviosly they are the ones that make nigth time calls

Actually, in most frog species, the males are much smaller then the females. In the Pyxie frogs (African bullfrogs/African burrowing frogs) the males are larger then the females.

BTW how often are you guys feeding him and how much?

It's kind of random...sometimes it'll be a few days that pass by or maybe a few weeks. Trying to get him on a steady diet. Any recommendations?

I feed mines pretty much everyday or at least every other day unless it's that time of the month where they get mice or chicks then I'll wait a week before feeding again.


One reason I started my roach colonies was I was going broke buying 3-4 dozens crickets at least every other day.

How much do you feed him? We feed it 12-15 nightcrawlers every feeding...whenever that is.

Usually as much as they eat each sitting or whenever I feel they had enough. What other prey items do you feed the guy besides nightcrawler? Variety is always the best
