Sexing my Salvini

I was going to say female as well, but I have two females and they both have A LOT of red on their stomach's, and I don't see any present in those pics. I could be wrong, but I would say male. The general lack of yellow coloring also makes me lean towards male also.

If I was on my computer I would show some pics to compare to my female and show you exactly what I mean, but unfortunately I won't have it up for a couple of days.

Yeah, but his Sal is still pretty small. Mine didn't start showing her red until she was closer to 3".

Its eating well... prawns, muscles and trout so it should grow fast!!

Im guessin its a female then and i supose only time will tell!

Looking at your female japes i thinking of keeping it, plus my GF picked it.

I'll keep an update of his/her growth an try for some better pics

That looks like a Male from that Photo.

Here is a photo of my female salvinis...she has that distinctive black line on her dorsal fin.

Here is the male. The male has some blackish colors on the dorsal too but not as distincitive as the female.
