Awesome colors. Will make a great show fish.

Definitely a male. Dont worry about the rounded fins. My guy in my avatar didnt start to grow his out until after 4-4.5 inches. It actually gives you something to look forward to. My other male that i had to rehome didnt grow his until about 5 inches. I also started my tank out with a GT and a JD. As the GT out grew the JD, the GT would chase the JD relentlessly. I no longer see my JD on an everyday basis, He hides in a hole inside one of my fake ornaments and never comes out. Ill see him about 2 times a week if he hears the food drop in the tank. Just keep that in mind.

I've had him with 1 JD in a 55 since they were 1 inch and the jack is definitely still the boss. I assume in a 125 a Texas jack and terror should have enough room to keep to there own though?

So assuming he is a male like suggested when should I expect his nuchal hump to start becoming visible. Is there anyway I can increase it?

I'm pretty positive that it's a male. As far as the head goes, I don't know for sure but mine is almost 7 inches now and is just starting to show signs of a nuchal but, I've seen smaller with bigger heads.
