Sexing oscars

My O ate a 4 inch bichir once, but at 7 inches I think it will be fine.

as said only true way is through breeding unless you know what your doing with venting......
I have a 11+inch oscar and two 6inch with a 8inch senegal birchir and they all get along fine,,,

Thats reassuring I should be ok the bichir is twice as big as the O.

Yeah the O's are hard to tell apart. I have 2 that i raised since very young. They both started at the same size. Now one is 4 in bigger. I am guessing that one is male cause of his size. Never had a fight with the other oscar either. They love to swim together. Only one sign of breeding behavior. They both clean out a spot in the tank and were guarding it fiercely. But no spawn.
