Hey i was wondering if it was possible to sex parrots still at the shop, and if so how? Cause i was interested in getting a female seeing as males are infertile. Thanks for any help you can give me. =)

The only way you're going to be able to tell is to vent it. I got lucky when I found mine because it's tube was down and I knew right away it was a female. Males will have longer fins too.

Where is the place your thinking i wanna know if im close by lol.. i rekon im not but id be interested in going out of my way.. although.. i was wondering if it was going to cost me a fortune.. Cause every BP ive seen so far has been $80 minimum but mostly $100+ and i don't even know what im getting.. ive never had a BP before.. but MFK has got me really keen and my girlfriend loves them.. so yeah i really wanted to get into them. =)

Ohh yeah also.. Sorry i was actually looking around last weekend. And came across this nice little batch i was interested in. And i remember Cam telling me that he found his cause the breeding tube was out.. these guys were still small.. around.. size of a pingpong ball i gues.. maybe a little smaller.. would there tubes be out at this size already?? cause i noticed like 3 that had a vent out.. but i dont know.. im not used to identifying the different between male and female vents unless i have the other sex of the same species to compare.. But it didnt seem thick like ive normally seen.. so i was thinking it was male.. anyway i didnt get them cause they looked to be tattooed.. and i didnt want that.. but then later i thought maybe they were just nearly fully faded and what i thought were tattooes were just a few dots left behind.
