Sexing question with pics...

Hello,

I've been lurking for quite a while and wanted to post a couple pics of my new Green Terror I brought home tonight. I've been looking for a while and found this guy at my LFS. He was actually labeled as a Royal Green Terror. He sure makes my 6" EBJD look small, I'm guessing he's around 8" nose to tail. He looks like a male to me, what do you guys think?

Above pic is not a very good representation of my 6" EBJD on the right. He just started eating again this week from being sick for 3 weeks.

Nice fish!! He does look like a candidate for being a "royal" Gt...His coloring is stellar, and the orange on his tail is ridiculous!!! The EBJD on the left in the last pic is crackin, and the puzzle piece loach is cool also. Is that a hrp on the bottom left? Very nice my man and welcome you are in the right place now

GT appears to be a female. Longer slender body, and shorter dorsal and anal fin tips.

love the EBJD especially the one which is pretty clear in the snap he is from the dark side of EBJDs i guess

Thanks bigspizz. I had seen him a couple of times at the LFS but he was too much $$$. They knocked the price down last week and had a 20% off sale going on this week so I couldn't resist. Glad I got there when I did since a guy came in right after me asking about the same GT.

The EBJD on the left was very light and darkened up quite a bit the past week or two. I think they go through a dark stage at some point. The one in the middle, Popeye, was my first but has a eye that sticks out quite a bit. The 6" guy I bought a month ago and is doing good now.

Good eye man, didn't notice him in that shot. That's my favorite of the three loaches and the biggest, around 3 1/2". He's nuts though because he thinks he's a tiger barb He's always schooling with them.

Yeah, that's my male HRP. The female is in another tank with their fry. Definately not putting them back together because all hell broke loose when they spawned

i think your gt is a male also. very nice colors. you should get him a ladie to hang out with. also your electric blue jacks are awesome. i have been looking to get a couple of them but none of the lfs's here really get them
