Yea, he was being repressed by the bigger flowerhorn. But I am growing him in the other tank now so we'll see how he turns out. I bought an acrylic divider and will put him in the main tank with the bigger flowerhorn.
As much as he can eat in 5 minutes? isn't that too much? I mean he eats fast and a lot of food is gone in like 20 seconds.
no, that's been the rule of thumb for decades. Whatever he doesn't eat after five minutes remove from the rank. Feed him like this twice a day. He'll grow quickly doing this along with weekly water changes.
Here is how the stunted fish looks like as of today. He never had Hex btw, just got bullied by the dominate male FH i guess.
