IN YOUR HEAD
i know my pied pearl is a female, but i think the other is a male, not sure though i haven't heard any singing...resently my for sure female wanted to breed and has layed eggs...idk if the other is a male...i have had the birds since dec/jan of this year...idk the age of the birds but hear are some pics...i was told they were a pair and had a faild cluch once before (only eggs)...the known female loves me the other wants me dead unless it needs help then i am the best until it is ok then death to me...let me know what you think the sex is there is eggs now so they are more agressive to me so the pics aren't the best...female frist, male? second...

I must be losing my bird-fu...I thought the first one was the male, don't they typically have brighter cheek patches?

thats what i thought also, but garenteed female...saw it tail rased high doing little peeps and wistles and then it was in a corner with no egg a few min later an egg it never left the spot so def. female...thats why idk about the other its face isn't bright yellow for a mature bird...

anyother thoughts as to if it is a male or not...the deff female looks to have another egg coming...they haven't use a nesting box i was going to wait till i built the 6' cage...she just layed them on the floor of the cage so after the second egg i my a "nest" for them out of paper towels and a reg washcloth like i saw on a breeding deal...she started to protect the second egg but not any more...the first egg go moved from spot to spot with care on the floor now i put them together in the "nest"...i saw that the eggs were good for 7 days with no inicial incubation and also that the egg doesn't start to develop until they get warmed up in the incubation is started by the adults even if it is a few days after being layed is this true?...sorry for all the q's but this is my first time breeding birds...as a kid we had them breed but i was like 12-15 yrs...i was thinking women not animals then...lol

Looks like two females to me does the grey one have a patern beneath its tail feathers?

The only way to be guaranteed with the sex is to have a dna or surgical test done especially with all of these mutations. The DNA testing is like $25 and pretty simple.
