Is your opinion based on the black markings on the dorsal fin or on the fact taht they are not so long, Jason?
 
Miguel, that black spot was one indicator but it lacks the colors of males at that size, body shape, trailors... Just what I see in the pics look female to me which is why u asked for more pics to compare different angles so I can be more sure. After raising and being around certain fish for a long period of time, you develop an eye for particular characteristics that you look for when growing them out and that's all I'm.going with atm.
 
Agree fishman, also the smaller more abundent freckling.
FWP you were bang on with my Umbee calling out a pair when I thought they were two males.
 
But Jason how about the spangles going to the top of the spine as well as that strip of color along side of dorsal? Thats the only reason I thought male?
