nope. no way of telling, some say the males have bigger jaws for holding the eggs, some say females are fatter since they are the ones that lay the eggs. but there's no real way of telling. jus keep them long enough n hope they pair off n dont fight
There are ways to make educated guesses, however, there is only one sure way. The one that lays eggs is female. There are a few attributes that are seen... Females can be thicker, males can have a deeper body/throat, males can have longer anal fins, males can be longer... However, these are all things that are indicators, but not sexually exlusive 100% of the time.
